Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Assessment

We were commissioned by the University of Southampton to carry out a biodiversity net gain assessment to accompany a planning application for the redevelopment of existing grassed pitches into two new 3G artificial grass pitches.

The assessment had been informed by a previous preliminary ecological appraisal. Using the Biodiversity Metric calculation tool, a measureable net gain was demostrated to be achievable on site, through retention and enhancement of exisiting habitats as well as new habitat creation.
